§ 13-40-040

Approval of preliminary plans

The building commissioner may in his or her discretion, issue a permit for the construction of a building or structure, or part thereof, upon the approval of preliminary drawings and plans, a true copy of which shall be filed with the building commissioner, and before the entire working drawings and plans and detailed statements of the building have been completed and submitted for approval, if such preliminary drawings and plans and detailed statements shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the nature and character of the work proposed and to show their compliance with the building provisions of this Code; provided, however, that the complete working drawings and plans shall be submitted to the building commissioner before construction is permitted.  The building commissioner shall check the completed drawings and plans and if approved shall stamp his official approval thereon as provided by Section
